New commission for National Glass Centre, Sunderland and relational project at Side Café, Newcastle
This June, Korean artist Mimi Joung launches a month long art project in collaboration with Side café, Newcastle. Earlier this year Joung was awarded the North & South commission that is due to open in July 2007 at the National Glass Centre. The theme is 21st century English identity and 12 projects have been commissioned from artists throughout the UK in six selected galleries in the North and south of England.
Mimi Joung will be presenting a new body of work at the National Glass Centre from 1st June to 31st of September and an off-site project takes place from the 1st to 31st of June at Side Café, Side Street, Newcastle.
